Golden Bay is a coastal suburb in the City of Rockingham, south of Perth, still building out under endorsed structure plans. It combines three things that rarely sit together: a beachfront, sand rather than clay, and a scheme that maps codes from R5 through to R60 across one small suburb.

Coastal, and that changes materials

Building near the coast brings corrosion into the specification — fixings, fasteners, roofing, window hardware and external fittings all need to suit the exposure.
